April 30th 2011 Greatest Day Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On April 30th, 2011 just 29 days after we met Damon's Birth Parents he arrived. It was April 30th 2011 @ 4:47pm weighing 6lbs. 9oz. and was 20 1/2inches long that Damon entered the world. We were text about 5:15 and told he was here. We went over that evening to Denton Presbyterian Hospital to see him. He was so beautiful and tiny. To back things up, we were told about his birth-parents Jake and Janae on Monday April 28th 2011 but we did not hear from then all that week. We thought maybe they had saw us on Facebook and maybe we were not what they were looking for in a family for their special gift. On Friday I get a call from my husband that they wanted to meet with us that night. OH MY GOSH TONIGHT! The good thing about this was that we were leaving that Saturday for a cruise for a week so the house was CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! So of course since I was leaving to go on vacation I got out of work late. So I arrived at 7:15 so they had been there 15mins or so. Our meeting went great, we hit it off like we had known each for awhile. They stayed til 10:30 or so. So the next week as we were on our cruise we had no clue if they would chose us but when we met the week after we got back they told us they had. We only got to meet that night and one other Saturday for lunch before Damon arrived. Jake and Janae are our special Angels that brought us our beautiful son!!!!!!!! These are some of the first photo's Jake sent us of Damon.  He was so tiny and perfect.  Jake sent the picture of Damon holding his finger and texted "He's a white baby" We just laughed, we were just happy he was here.

 

Update on Home Stusy

Ok so the Home Study is complete and we passed. I will try to keep update better in the future. This seems like it is taking forever but I know the Lord's time is not my time. I am also trying to learn to customize this blog better as well. So check back regularly for more updates.

Afternoon Blues

Well its 2:53 so basically 2hours and 7mins till I get to go home. It has been a very slow day at my office and I've been searching for a new job online since after lunch. I did have lunch with a friend but it was too short. As most people already know I am totally bored at my job and have been looking for a new one almost the week after I started. I am very thankfull to have a job when there are so many out there that do not, I would just like to have one where I get up every morning and enjoy going to work. Well so much for my complaining have a great rest if the day.

Adoption 2009 or 2010

Hello everyone!
This is the beginning of a new chapter in Dave and my life. We have gone to the LDS Family Services and have started the adoption process. We past the first part of the local background check and now we are on to the FBI Background check. We are truly excited and I believe Dave is more excited than I am it seems since he is the one telling everyone. We hope to get everything finished soon so they can post us on the website so the birth parents can see our profile soon. They say it takes about a year but could take longer. I hope it goes by sooner than later but we have put it in Gods hands at this time. We know that things will work out in their own good time. We just wanted everyone to know as soon as possible. Please keep us in your prayers and thoughts.
